PCE CERTIFICATE
Packaging Circular Economy 2023

Vefi Packagings generated polyolefin waste is recycled as raw material to produce eco-products under the Stella Green brand – manufactured by ML Sp. z o.o. This process leads to 100% recycling and transformation into a new finished product. Before transformation all graphics designs owned by Vefi Packaging are removed. The processing of the waste thereby doesn’t contribute to the increase of new plastics in the economic cycle and the natural environment, in accordance with the principles of the PCE – packaging circular economy.

VEFI Europa Sp. z o.o., has received a certificate from Provincial Inspector of Environmental Protection that use of the by-product to produce foil tape will not lead to overall negative impacts on the environment, human life, or health.

The Provincial Inspector of Environmental Protection in Łódź, with the decision Ref. No.: I-Sk.7040.12.1.1.2020.pc, issued a positive opinion on the recognition of plastic waste in the form of a post-production openwork tape, generated during the production of finished products at the VEFI EUROPA , located in Skierniewice at Mazowiecka 1b street, production plant, as a by-product.
The justification states that based on the inspection findings and the documents held; it was found that:
• the production process uses plastics from the group of thermoplastic polymers: polystyrene (PS), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polypropylene (PP) and bioplastics (BIO), in the form of rolls of foil tape from which the product is thermally formed and then cut ,
• after cutting the finished product, waste is generated in the form of the so-called foil openwork, which is an integral part of the production process,
• post-production foil openwork has the same physicochemical and mechanical properties as the raw material and the finished product,
• immediately after the foil comes off the machine, it goes to the mills, where it is cut and ground,
• the openwork goes to production and is processed into foil in-house or transferred to an external foil manufacturer to be converted into full-value foil,
• post-production waste is stored selectively in designated places, while post-production openwork is stored separately,

The use of the by-product to produce foil tape will not lead to overall negative impacts on the environment, human life, or health.
